Italian Cookies - Virtual cooking class

Italian Cookies

In this cooking class experience you will learn how to make these delightful Italian sweet treats from the North of Italy, Piedmonte, the home of hazelnuts.

Baci Di Dame “Italian Kisses”: these delight chocolate and hazelnut biscuits will melt in your mouth and look beautiful too; and they make a great gift.

Brutti Ma Buoni “ugly but beautiful”: the name does ring true, they aren’t going to win any prizes on looks… but these nutty meringue based treats are a favourite in our house. There a few nut flavours for you to chose - pine nuts, hazelnut, pistachio or even pecan nuts. My personal favourite is the pistachio!

Chocolate Florentines: Thin, crispy, chewy, nutty and fruity. With a delicate coating of chocolate. Delicious!

About your chef Jinny, and her love of Italian Food

Jinny loves Italian food and has spent many months cooking, sailing and exploring mainland Italy and her beautiful surrounding islands. Her love of Italy then took her to ICIF - the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, where she spent months honing in her Italian culinary skills in a castle in Piedmonte. She came away with her Masters in Italian Cuisine, the next week she was private cheffing for a well known Italian family - the owners of Fiat. She now loves to share the Italian skills and flavours with others.

I look forward to you joining us!
