Cooking together- Beginners guide to Sushi

Relaxed and really interesting. I now feel more confident to try raw fish next time. Rolling is so mindful too.

I love sushi! In my days as a luxury yacht chef I was truly spoilt with the freshest of fish coming over on to the deck and quickly taken down in to the galley ready to be prepared for many feasts!

In this class you will be shown you the basics of making sushi - getting the rice right, learning to roll it in a multitude of ways and also some quick sushi inspired salads. We will also get in to some of the details about Japansese cuisine, the types of fish and the different combinations you can create with sushi. We use the freshest of ingredients, including fresh tuna and fresh wasabi which you will be shown how to prepare. Vegan fillings are also available and equally delicious!

The class, is interactive with plenty of opportunity for questions and guidance. It is great fun and really not as hard as you might think, you just need to be show how! I hope you can join us.

At the end of the class you will have a sushi feast to enjoy and delight in.

For the inperson private cooking class, your sushi feast will be followed by a dessert of passionfruit meringues.
